Abe Asay

Chef / Hype man / Saucier

Abraham Asay, a Petaluma native started his love for the culinary arts at a young age by joining 4-H raising champion pygmy goats, market hogs and joining the culinary club.

In his early 20's he graduated from Le Cordon Bleu San Francisco and his culinary career took off. Cooking under some of the best Chefs in Sonoma & Marin County he honed his craft and in 2009 helped open TAPS Restaurant in petaluma. Focused on pairing beer and food he started to do events with local breweries once a week. With an invite to The great Boonville Beer festival he was invited to camp and cook for Rate Beer and Brewed For Thought, this is where Tye and Abe first met.

Over the years Tye and Abe would become the people planning the booneville menu. Tye brought the hot sauce he was known around the festival as "Tye the hot sauce guy". After opening Hanks in Petaluma in 2019 with great success and covid rampant Booneville was canceled but of course tye and abe stayed friends. In the summer of 2020 Tye approached Abe and asked to become a partner of Tyracha. Of course abe said yes and making their first batch of hot sauce together they "Hatch-ed" a plan to start finding an artist to work with to make labels. Abe knew just the person, Travis.

Tye, Abe and Travis met for the first time and from there the rest is history
